Ñuñoa, Santiago · 2024
Renovation of a 1920s house in Ñuñoa. The original façade is preserved while the interior is fully renewed, with the kitchen becoming the new heart of the home.
The intervention takes place on a 1920s house located in a picturesque sector of Ñuñoa, where the neighbourhood character required keeping the exterior style. The façade is preserved as a heritage piece, ensuring the home's urban presence remains part of the area's historic landscape.
Inside, by contrast, the house is fully remodelled. The kitchen is deliberately enlarged and becomes the central space of the home, articulating social flow and the family's daily life.
The new interior language is contemporary: a redistribution of space that opens and reorganises the rooms, a palette of vivid colours that breaks with the sobriety of the classical façade, and bathrooms entirely remodelled to bring standards in line with the home's new life.
